A fantasticday on The Hillforts Yrail Event
Having had a think you should disqualify the 'walker' that finished 20odd mins ahead of me as clearly was running a lot. It would set a president for future walks. Cheating isnt good. She was seen to be running!.
Absolutely stunningly beautiful event.
The course was amazing. The photo requirement at the top of each hill added an extra element of fun to the day. Well worth the entry fee. Can’t wait to do it again.

The hardest but the best most beautiful run that I have done so far in my life ! I'll be back !!!
From arriving the night before the race to leaving the Wooler Hostel on the Sunday morning this has been some awesome event with a great very friendly atmosphere. Good organisation with very friendly personell always there to assist and help you if necessary. Very cold day for the race but beautiful sunshine and the most breathtaking scenery and views that you could possibly ask for ! Made many new friends and caught up with old friends from previous races. 11/10 Trail Outlaws ! C

Beautiful but Brutal
Excellent, loved the fact there was a run or walk option. And the cut off was 9 hours.
Great atmosphere all the way round and cuppa & soup at the end was lush

Adventure
What an adventure, stupidly entered to run, thinking I'd walk the hills, run the downhills. However the terrain said NO.
But omg what a great day.
Loved the photo opportunities, the swords, shields etc were a fab idea.
I must admit, with the rubbish weather leading to the day, I was thinking of staying in bed.
But pleased the 4.30 alarm clock made me get up.
2 hour journey, through the snow, gorgeous views.
Saw a red squirrel, gliders, snow, hills mud, ice, water, and my feet most of the day. The horse that wanted to see what I had in my running pack( must take polo's next time).
Wooler hostel is a great base, friendly welcoming atmosphere, hot drinks, and lush cakes at the beginning and the end.
Missed the gorgeous smelling soups

Brilliant event! Good level of challenge but super friendly, and those views...! Loved it ❤️
I absolutely loved this event! The generous time cut-off meant I could run it without feeling pressured, and there was such a friendly vibe out on the course. The phenomenal views helped too! One of the best events I've done.

Tough! But enjoyable .
Some areas tough due to ice but it is February ! Took a couple of falls

Great event
Always difficult to ‘police’ a walk. Proven in this event.

Excellent day out as always
Great as always!
Brilliant day out again!
This is always such a brilliant weekend which encourages beginners and those who aren't "racing" to challenge themselves, without ludicrous and unachievable cutoffs.
Could do with a new medal design though (or just a lanyard with year on). I have 5 identical ones now!
Another great Trail Outlaws event!
