A very friendly inclusive event for all abilities in a wonderful location. ,
Would have liked clearer marking on the course, it was easy to miss the small markers which we did & would have ended up down by the lake if we’d not met a group who’d missed the same one & we’re on their way back. Also would have appreciated markers back to the car park.

Lovely location and amazing night sky
When I applied the inclusions stated tracking, so I was quite disappointed this wasn’t provided. I tracked my time on Strava but I was under the assumption that times would be recorded as part of the event with time and position.

Friendly, hilly, chilly
We had an amazing time! We were so lucky with a clear night, saw lots of stars. The route was well marked, the aid stations were great, lots of options for snacks and drinks and the marshalls were all so friendly and helpful- we really appreciated their enthusiasm! We did get a bit lost walking back to the car so maybe some more signs would be helpful. Overall this was a great event that we really enjoyed and would recommend.

Super event
Needed more route directions/arrows in places, if you became detached from crowd hard to see way markers
If you say no cups do not provide cups, still rubbish left behind by inconsiderate few
Give merch out at end
Other than that absolutely fab⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic event, organised well.
Perfect weather 2025 which is always a bonus
William Meikle
Brilliant scenic course.
First time but won't be my last. Friendly runners and atmosphere. Beautiful course and the weather was perfect.
AMANDA SEXTON
Spooky, starry, challenging and a fantastic atmosphere
Signs need to be bigger, especially on the last turn coming back as we (and several others) took a wrong turn and nearly ran into the water!
We also didn't realise you had to run right into the tipi to finish because it was so busy and down steps and we're being told to switch off torches- maybe add it to the race briefing email for newbies like us?
BUT these are just ideas, we loved the event, it was the most friendly and welcoming event I have ever attended and we will definitely be back. Thank you all!
Chloe Cutler-Burton
Absolutely brilliant event - thoroughly enjoyed it! Great volunteers and fab atmosphere.
More signage for the start area and back to the carpark please -We got lost a couple of times.
Would love a free runners soup in future (happy for the cost to be added to entry!)
Thanks for a brilliant event and great volunteers!

Possibly my favourite run route
I think the route way markers could have been bigger / more obvious.

Great evening with one issue
Thoroughly enjoyed my second dark skies event. However myself and another runner took the wrong path at a fork end ended up actually running into the reservoir. Around 2 -3 km from the finish. If using the same route again I would suggest a signalling marshal similar to other places on the course! Thanks for a great evening otherwise, definitely will be back again.

Well organised race with great marshalls.
This run around Kielder is well organised with direction markers when you need them, but you mostly follow the Lakeside trail keeping the to lake on your left all the way round. It is advertised as 26.6 miles but both of our phones tracked nearly 28! We were blessed with a clear (add really cold!) night so the stars were incredible.
Big shout-out to the marshalls who were brilliant whenever we encountered them; friendly, helpful and encouraging. They really made the event.

Fantastic event with lovely clear skies and lots of stars. Really well run and friendly event
About 1.5miles before the end I missed the arrow and ended up running into a flooded road - about 100 metres off the course. Others did the same thing so maybe a metal barrier of or more signs at this point might stop this as otherwise it was no problem following the route. Thank you for a great event.

Awesome
First time at this event, everyone super friendly, an absolutely cracking course, give it a go you won't be disappointed
Chris Stringer
Well organised and run.
Ended up with a marathon PB but also ran 27.5 miles which is a bit longer than advertised. Didn’t mind really as I can now technically claim this as my first Ultra
Andrew Seddon
Great run, amazing volunteers.
Alexandra Mitchell
Friendly event with the novelty of running in the dark!

Brilliant race with a great atmosphere!
This was my first time doing Dark Skies and I really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere and well organised.
The only thing I would say is that I got completely lost walking back up to the car park so maybe some more signage to direct you back up the footpaths towards the Greenside car park would be good.

Excellent location, few extras for the entry fee.
Really enjoyed the run tonight, always enjoy running at Kielder, however for £48 it would’ve been nice to receive more than a medal at the end, although runners can buy extra snacks/drinks etc, but this should probably be included in your entry fee.
Also, the run is advertised as 26.6 miles but its actually 27.8 which was a lovely little surprise at the end!
All in all I’d run the course again, but in my humble opinion you get more bang for your buck with other race organisers.
