Really enjoyed the run will do it again

My running companion and I were both looking out for the 5k checkpoint and were surprised finding it at 8k.
The team snacks and drink were great and very welcome, bit would have been more welcome at 5k!

An amazing event, well organised, well marked, friendly, safe and wow those stars !!!

Amazing event , obviously a fantastic location , I only did the 10k which was a great testing route . Only downside was getting back to the car at greenside , everyone was a bit disoriented with the lack of signage . Have to remember its pitch black when we finish .

This has to be one of my favourite runs of the year. Just a couple of things to improve.
-Signage to get to and from car park as we got lost both ways.
-more marshalls along the route as i only saw 1 the whole way.
-better signage during race as nearly got lost last mile.
-bring back the disco point as i was looking forward to that point.
Apart from that I would definitely recommend.

Good pre-event info, needed more signage to and from the car park. There’s a point on the return leg where I and several runners got lost, there needed to be bigger signs or a Marshall there (the road goes straight ahead, and to see the turn sign you had to look right for it to light up with the head torch).
Always annoying to pre-sell extra-small T-shirts then state on the day you only go down to small! I wouldn’t have brought it if that was the case as it’s far too big for me!

Undulating course, well marked, well organized with good aid stations and friendly atmosphere. Follow the kit list, -2 by the end when we did it, be prepared.

A couple of people were carrying speakers and playing loud music. This was really intrusive and spoiled the atmosphere of being in a wild and natural place. I feel this really should count as antisocial behaviour and not be allowed. It’s quite an assumption that those individuals make that everyone else wants to listen to their music

4th time running dark skies, always a fantastic event.
Just a note, a couple of runners with loud music running along - most runners come for the atmosphere and the incredible views of Kielder - not for dance music

I really enjoyed the run so I'm sorry to raise a couple of negative points,
1. I doubt very much that many of the runners could hear anything of the pre race instructions as the sound quality was really poor.
2. Really annoying that at least two runners had music playing as they ran - no earphones! Why ? A beautiful location with clear skies for the stars and I had to listen to their music. This should not be allowed and the marshals should have stopped it.

Reflective signs / flags would have made it easier to follow the route, but otherwise very good

Blessed with clear skies - this was a well run event, friendly and inclusive. Course was well marked and hot soup at the end, brilliant!

Volunteers were all amazing, kept you going and helped at checkpoints. So hard refuelling in the dark! Couldn’t have asked for any more. Thank you so much.

All good, any negatives were more about my own strategies for the race, really enjoyed it

The last turn before waterside on the wzy back is poorly signed and needs something bright and a marshall. Me and another runner ran into the lake up to our knees. We lost time and got very cold feet

Thank you to all the organisers and volunteers. Truly one of my best ever trail experiences, we were so blessed with the weather making it even more magical!

As always very well ran event with the best views, great atmosphere and facilities and a event for all runners
