Beautiful and brutal in equal measure, it has to be done
Fantastic event, beautiful but tough, very friendly volunteers , this really is a to do run
Kate Donnelly
Really friendly event, wonderful scenery and great atmosphere.
Allan Scorer
A challenging run in a lovely friendly atmosphere.
Thought the signage was excellent but would have appreciated a mile marker at mile 12, just to be prepared for that final push. Otherwise an excellent event that I would definitely do again.
Thank you to everyone involved.

Beautiful, laid back but organised run with a cracking medal
Plenty took a detour before the last checkpoint so maybe you need an extra marker there

Trail Outlaws seem to have a spirit to their runs.
Simon Osbaldiston
Well organised and great fun. Beautiful location.
There could have been a few more signs at strategic points along the route. I went the wrong way a couple of times and I wasn't the only one!
Tom Livesey
Well organised, welcoming and clear.
This is my second time running the Durham Coastal half marathon. I’ve really enjoyed it both times and hope to run it again next year. My only additional request is for cooler weather; perhaps you could manage that for next year?!
Jack Liddle
Hard but worth it!
Cracking medal!
Rachael Spiers
Great challenging trail race
Not suitable for super beginners IMO as no mile markers or regular marshalls across the route so I'd suggest for slightly more experienced runners or those with a group of friends. Yellow arrows are great and parking at the start plus set up to get going perfect
Also, loved that the coach back is included and no superfluous goodies. Medal and a beer
Bosh
Nice one

Challenging but fun
I managed to finish the Urban Trail series on my 2nd attempt. It's a great mix of race lengths and locations that took me to many places I have never visited before, but have been back since. The only reason for not doing the series again this year is the first race always coincides with my wedding anniversary!!
Dean Ellison
Super fun scenic run
Gemma Wilson
Nice scenic route
Marshals were fantastic, however signage for routes and bus stop could have been a little better
Alison kidger
A challenging run but great experience
Kirstie Sutherland
Very friendly and rather challenging. Good atmosphere and excellent facilities in the sports centre
Couple of the way marks were a little ambiguous
Sarah Attwood
Very friendly fun race
I loved that you could enter this up until the weekend before and it took you on some lovely trails in Durham. There was plenty of parking and toilets and somewhere warm pre and post race to go if needed. Everyone was so friendly and encouraging, really laid back vibe. Route was well signposted..really didn’t need the route on my watch but it was great to have been sent the route for it aswell. The only negative/room for improvement was prize giving. On the website it said it would be at 12 but on going at 11:55 I was told it had already been done and that they always aim to do it 20-25 mins after prize winners have finished, as though I should have known this already, and I was left apologising for not having been there even though I didn’t know this…the event schedule just needs to be amended to reflect this because if I had known I would have waited around rather than gone back to the car to get warm clothes thinking I had to wait around for 35-40 minutes.

Durham 5k, another fantastic run, tough but beautiful

Absolutely great organisation & very well looked after
