Runners are being given an out of this world opportunity to run and race under one the darkest night skies in Europe! The 'Dark Skies Run' at Kielder Water & Forest Park, Northumberland, will take place over the weekend from Friday 17th March through to Sunday 19th March 2023.

Kielder was awarded gold tier Dark Sky Park status by the International Dark Skies association in December 2013, making it the perfect venue for the ultimate starlit running challenge.

The event consists of 3 races on 3 different days. You are welcome to pick one or more races :)

The 10 mile event will take place on the Friday 17th March, the 26.5 mile event takes place on Saturday 18th March, and the 14 mile event takes place on Sunday the 19th March.

Giving runners an option of any of the 3 challenges to cater for all abilities.

There are options to run the dark skies bronze (10 & 14 events), silver (10 & 26.5 events) or gold (14 & 26.5 events). Or you could take on the ultimate  challenge of the dark skies triple platinum (10, 14 & 26.5 events).

All events come with a bespoke medal, tech t-shirt and buff. For those completing the bronze, silver, gold or platinum they also get an exclusive award.
